Student Options for Viewing
|
|
| |
Once a telecourse is licensed by a college or university, enrolled
students have several viewing options depending on the institution.
|
|
|
-
Broadcast and/or Cablecast
Some institutions utilize their local PBS station or cable access
channel for telecourse delivery. In addition to viewing broadcasts
of the video lessons to complete weekly assignments, students
are encouraged to record the lessons to assist with quiz and
exam preparation.

-
College by Cassette
For institutions that do not broadcast telecourses, the video lessons may be viewed on VHS tapes or DVDs. (Not all Coast courses are available on DVD for student viewing.) Students should check with their own institution to find out the options available. Most institutions have viewing copies available in the school?s media center or library. Some schools provide students with a set of tapes or DVDs at no cost or for a nominal fee. NOTE: Licensees do not have the right to digitize content for replication purposes. Please refer to Digital Use Policy for more information..

- VHS, DVD, and Videostreaming Rentals
ACT/RMI Media provides students with viewing options and convenience. Students can rent telecourse video lessons for the semester for a fee. The tapes and/or DVDs are shipped directly to the student, and a return (UPS paid) shipping label is included. This is a simple way to make sure a lesson is never missed.
ACT/RMI also offers a limited number of Coast's courses via videostreaming. This option is available to students with broadband connectivity. Please contact ACT/RMI at (800) 745-5480 for additional details.
